YOUR SELFTAPE, YOUR STORY
Let`s get to know you!
Your self-tape is your chance to introduce yourself, show us your personality and help us understand your look and skills.
You don`t need a professional camera or a studio. Your phone, good light and a little preparation are enough.
Follow these simple steps to create your introduction.
1. Find the right spot
Choose a quiet place with a clean, simple background. Make sure there is enough space around you to move freely.
Avoid background noise, mirrors, windows behind you and anything that may distract from you.
2. Set up your camera
Use your phone or camera in horizontal position. Place it at eye level and keep it steady, using a tripod or a stable surface.
Clean your camera lens and make sure your entire body can fit in the frame when you move back.
3. Check your lighting
Natural light is best. Face a window or a soft light source so we can see your face clearly.
Avoid strong light behind you or harsh shadows across your face.
4. Introduce yourself
Look directly at the camera and speak clearly and naturally.
Please tell us:
- Your full name
- Your age
- Your height
- Where you live (city and country)
- Your languages
- Your skills, talents and interests
- Any relevant experience, if you have it
You don`t need to memorise a script. Just be yourself and speak as if you are meeting someone for the first time.
5. Show us your full body
This part is important — please don`t forget it!
After your introduction, move back so that your entire body is visible, from head to toe.
Stand naturally, facing the camera. Then:
- Walk a few steps towards the camera at a normal, relaxed pace.
- Return to your starting position, if needed.
- Turn slowly all the way around once, showing your profile and back before facing the camera again.
- Stand naturally for a moment before ending the video.
Keep your movements simple and natural. There is no need to pose or perform a catwalk unless you are specifically applying as a model or the casting instructions ask you to do so.
Make sure your head, feet and entire body remain visible throughout this part.
6. Keep your appearance natural
Wear simple, well-fitting clothes that allow us to see your shape and overall appearance clearly. Avoid very loose clothing, busy patterns, large logos and distracting accessories.
Keep makeup and styling natural. We want to see you as you normally look.
7. Show us your skills
If you are an actor, dancer, musician, athlete, model or performer, you can include a short example of your talent.
If you have no professional experience, don`t worry. Everyday people and unique personalities are welcome, too.
8. Check before you upload
Before sending your video, make sure:
- Your face and voice are clear.
- Your age and height are included.
- Your full body is visible during the walking and turning sequence.
- The camera stays steady and the lighting is good.
- Your video has no filters, music or unnecessary effects.
Keep your introduction short and clear, ideally around 60–90 seconds, including the full-body sequence.
